62 Hardtop Headliner-Shade of white??

I know that the hardtop headliner in a 62 should be white, but what is the correct shade: bright white, off white, something else?

The reason I am asking is the headliner in my HT is in very good condition, except for some yellowing and minor staining. I have cleaned it with a number of products and it is much better, but still yellowed. I have even looked at the edge of the headliner where it was partially protected under the trim to see if I can find the original white, but it was still yellowed there.

Given the headliners condition I am considering dying it to get it back to a "close shade" of the original white. Has anyone done this, and if so what did you use?

I would just leave it stock, but take a little more Westley's whitewall cleaner to it with a soft brush.

I did use Westley's , along with some other vinyl cleaners, letting it soak, and it still looks bad. The minor staining is what sticks out the most. Looks like at some point in the past 48 years the hardtop was upside down and little pockets of water settled there staining it.

I'll try to get a picture of the top interior from my 62 to you today. It is stock and I did clean it a few years ago. I was lucky because most of the tobacco/age stains came off with oxy-clean.
