I still have both fronts and one rear original shock from my 66 L-72 F-41....the other rear was destroyed in a trailing arm wipeout.
It will be interesting to see how they compare.

Great shot, Joe. And, it looks familiar...

Thanks for posting. We're snow-bound today, so I sitting with baited breath waiting to see who says "there only original once", first!

The story behind this 66 is interesting. It has been sitting beside a body shop for 45 years. It was totaled the first month of it's life. It was also saved yesterday as we loaded it on the trailer and pulled away from it's resting place for all those years.
As we started to load I noticed much to my amazement the F-41 shocks still attached!!!!
Upon looking further it had all the F-41 stuff still there.
I have looked at a lot of Corvettes in the last 50+ years but NEVER have I seen an original F-41 shock on a Corvette until now. Yeah, I had an original F-41 64 in my garage for over a year but I never noticed the original F-41 suspension.

My car was a similar story. It was wrecked in 72 in what was likely a guardrail accident that bent the left rear trailing arm and broke the spring mount casting on the diff case. the odometer showd 43,000 on it and the original F-41 was still there. They are gray with some blackout evident on the fronts. Will try to post pics later.
                  The rear is:
                  3171489
DELCO PRODUCTSI (don't know what the "I" mark is on the end of PRODUCTS, maybe the edge of the stamp holder?)
                  DAYTON OHIO U.S.A.
                  10A65
                  PLIACELL

                  Front:
                  PLIACELL
                  3171488

Yes, that's what it is...an imprint of the gang holder.

Pics are not great but they should show the color and config.

Here is a pair of Rear 65 F41 shocks.
Came off a car that had 200 miles on it. It is painted a gray color and my 68 F41's rears are also the same color.
                          Hope this helps.

I would call your first picture a blue-gray and different in color from the other two pictures. In my opinion, the blue-gray is the correct color.
