    58 soft top adjust.

Soft top on, fine tuning(adjusting frame) the book says do this and this if doesnt stack in lid or reach header and or this to adjust to windows, can someone walk me through each bracket and how to adjust these for best fit, and what holds the center over windows stiff for a crown effect, seems when I get the header right then it is wrong on the windows and etc, frustraiting. Be nice to have that guy jump out of the box and say ok, let me show you how this is done, (cant find him in there), thanks, Brad

I don't think anyone can tell you any more than the manual. It is not an easy fix. Also remember the manual assumes a fairly new car that has not been wrecked, drag raced, body mounts sagging, etc. etc. etc. It is a trail and error procedure and on some cars you will never get it to fit like new. I know that's not what you want to hear but it's kind of like trying to get into your wedding Tux, you might still be able to get into it but it won't fit exactly like it used to. You could also try to find a resto shop or a top shop in your area that does Corvettes, they might be able to help.

Terry, so there is no best way to just loosen up bolts on both brackets then moving things around up down front back etc to get there? Thanks, Brad.

Not that I know of, try to remember the engineers back then didn't have the Cad programs and computors of today. And depending how the car has been used over the years you may never get it to fit exactly right. Also remember that even new some did not fit real good and leaked from the get go.

Thank Don, got things closer on drivers side, Pass. was pretty good, Its amazing how much you can move these brackets around without it even doing a thing. Brad.
