My name is Joyce, I am a Corvette mirror restorer. I am wondering about a dilemma I have run into on restoring Corvette Bowtie outside mirrors when I need to replace dated glass in these mirrors. On the only dated glass I have found, the overall size of the glass is about 1/16" of an inch smaller than the original glass that was in these mirrors and the date is further in from the outside of the glass. My question is, when these mirrors are judged, is this acceptable with judging standards, since the original dated glass isn't available anymore? If not, is there another acceptable solution? Thank you, Joyce
