A/C and blower work perfect (cold air and all blower fan speeds work) for about 30-45 minutes, then blower stops. Only way to get it to work agian is to let the car cool (i.e. over night), then the A/C and blower work perfectly for the same time period. Based on what I have read on other posts I beleive I need to replace the blower motor resistor (due to overheating). However, the other posts are not specifically talking about A/C working perfectly, then cutting out. Appreciate any suggestions... need to fix before the summer heat arrives...this is for a 1981 model

Re: C3 AC Blower Motor cut-out
Rich, I don't have a wiring diagram in front of me but I don't think the blower motor has a cut out switch, I would tell you to check the connections at the blower, power and the ground wires on the motor, sometimes connections play funny games, and also look for power at motor once the blower stops, or even do a wiggle test of the wires, involved with blower( ie resistor, relay for high blower, and motor wiring).New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top
