And, I watched as a '65 D' stamped weld plate was cut off through its weld spots and removed. Below, the radiator was stamped '65 C'.
This suggests some units that failed final test at Harrison were set aside to determine whether they could be saved via re-work and when/if they were made right AND the production month had changed, the weld plate with a different date went on...
