1967 Stinger Hoods Rough Edges?

I have a 1967 L71 here and the hood edges are quite rough underneath where the edges of the bonding seam is. It's around the entire hood. It's a mid Nov '66 St Louis body. Vin 41xx.

Is this typical?

Yes. the 67 BB hood was the only one that had a formed edge. The panel is rolled over the edge so to speak. Where the bond oozed out they scraped (cut) it off as the material set up. That caused the rough strip on the under side.
