    Z bar alignment

I was able to connect all my clutch linkage recently but am not sure the alignment looks quite right.
As you will see in the picture, the leg on the z-bar near the engine is nearly straight ahead. In all pictures I have seen it appears nearly straight down. Do I have something wrong here? There is very little tension on the gorilla spring. There is a little slack, maybe 1/2", before there is pressure on the clutch fork.

    Hi Dave,

It looks high, but what it should be is straight down when the pedal is fully floored. You adjust it that way. I don't think you have your body on yet, so it may have to wait. It is easily adjusted by the threaded rod.

The spring won't have much tension when the rod is facing so far to the front. Compare the spring to your orginal, if it is close you should be okay. Personally, I think you are okay. When you get it in its final configuration, final adjustments can be made. By the way, your photo looks like you have done a fine job. -Dan-

dave...check your ST-12 page 6r-3.....after body is on and peddal is hooked up....the clutch fork rod adjustment will be near the end of the threads on the rod and the engine side lever will be clocked more to the rear

OK, that helps me. Thanks so much. I will look at the ST-12.
