Holley 3810 - Secondary Bowl Removal

The float is sticking on the secondary bowl and I have removed the 4 screws holding the bowl to the body but cannot remove the bowl. Is there something else that should be removed or has the gasket caused these parts to adhere.

I usually don't have a problem taking thinks apart, it's putting them back together that is sometimes difficult.

Thank you in advance for your answer.

Joe, I usually have to "thump" the sides of the bowl with a screwdriver handle to get 'em loose.
    Good luck,
    John G

i just wack them with a plastic mallet. check the float pin to make sure it has not come loose and allowed the float the move back and forth and get hung up. try tapping the pin back into the float bowl wall

I had to whack it quite a few times to break it loose. Once removed, I found that the float was properly aligned and not rusted, but found residue in the bowl which I assume is fuel residue. I cleaned the bowl with carb cleaner, replaced the float, spring and gasket and reassembled.

In reading some threads on gasoline, I'm going to switch to Chevron and see if the sticky float problem clears.

        Thanks for your help.
