I wanted to introduce myself. I'm John and I recently purchased a very nice 1970 LS5 Convertible with the hardtop from a long time owner in PA. This will be the 5th Corvette that I have owned. It is pretty complete as far a correct color and interior, but I have not investigated how authentic all the parts are. I will look for support on this forum from you guys that have lots of experience. I am enclosing a picture of the car and if any of you are a previous owner, I would welcome contact as I am going to try and put the paper trail together. Hope you all have a Happy New Year!

Re: Introduction
Hi John,
Welcome, and Happy New Year too!
Your car looks like a beauty in your picture. But,what's not to like about a big block convertible!!!! NICE!
Putting a car's history together can be a bit frustrating but also can be BIG fun!
Once again, I'm glad you're here and I'll look for your posts.
Regards,

Re: Introduction
Welcome to the discussion board John. Nice 1970. Hope you enjoy driving it for many years. When I bought my 1970 new I had seen the 1969 in pictures before with side exhaust and wanted that option. Later I installed them and left them on for many years before returning to under the car exhaust.
When the internal metal leaves the inside of the the factory side exhaust mufflers, they can really make some noise at WOT (wide open throttle).- Top

Re: Introduction
Hey John,
I have 1970 #10723, about 782 cars before yours, convertible LS5, 4-speed. I have no power options at all, but it has a black vinyl hardtop, deluxe interior, and rear window defogger. If I can help in any way, please let me know.

Welcome to the LS5 Pennsylvania owners club! If you are in south eastern PA, it would be neat to see the car at some of our local events.
