    Bubba story

I think I would win the Bubba car contest. I basically had to rerestore ground up a Bubba restored car. My 1st vette, learned my lesson and alot more. It's been a 3yr 95% done 71 LT1 convert (mostly) minus a few hard to get expensive parts Bubba threw away.
Thanks for everyones help as I finish this car.

I can't to cruise threw the gears in this ride! Then will that time and effort pay off.

Where, by chance, did you find your car? What color combo. Sounds like it might be a car that I looked at a few years ago.

Bought it from a guy in Arkansas by the name of Jess Jackson who was a member of this club about 4 yrs ago. It was on ebay. he said he was the second owner and bought it from a guy in Illinois. I drove the car once around the block, everything rattled, pulled it in the gararge and completely disasembled it. it was just slapped together with misc parts. they even read the body tag wrong and painted the car Mullsani blue instead of the original Bridge Hampton which I painted it. It was gold at some point with some type of front end damage. My first vette project, took it on the chin. does anyone know this car? Dick, I live in Charlotte, my kid is going to Wilks CC.

            Not the same car.

I work regularly with the Automotive Technologies Program at WCC. I have been on their advisory board for several year and two of the instructors worked for me several years ago.

                    Bubba Story:
When I had my '65 Sting Ray Flight Judged for the first time, the judges told me that the door locks turned the wrong way and that the front bumper supports were bent.

After the chapter meet (car took Top Flight), I took the car to my usual restoration shop to have them check out the problems. They found that one of the previous owners, when restoring the car, switched left parts for right. In the case of the front bumper supports, instead of putting the left one on the left side, they bent it to make it fit. -Clark
