    75 vette floors

Has anyone ever seen metal floors in a 75 corvette that have rusted out like 'regular' cars? I thought all floor pans in at least that era vette were fiberglass. thanks

Bruce, 1976 Corvette was the first year for the foward section made of partial steel underbody to protect floor and add rigidity to the cockpit and protect it from the heat generated by engines calibrated to run hotter. (catalytic converters)

        Hi Bruce,
Yes, I've seen pictures of the metal floors and seat belt mount reinforcements that have become very rusty to the point that metal is missing.
Fortunately reproductions seem to available for those car's owners to use in repairing their cars.
        Regards,
        Alan

          Bruce,
'75 has fiberglass floors. The only metal is the seat best mounting support.

Sounds like the '66 frame, that folded up, when we removed the body.

...1975 Corvettes also had a metal shield bonded in the fiberglass floor over the location of the catalytic converter. It was about 12" x 20" that I recall.
