    40083 Fuel Pump Rebuild Procedure

Anyone know the procedure to separate the pump diaphragm's slotted-rod from the pump arm? I've already removed the pin the pump arm pivots on and disassembled the pump. Thanks in advance.

Fred, the diaphragm slotted arm just lifts off the Actuating Lever. Said lever has a small hook at the end (you can not see it). If you can get a copy of the 63 Corvette Shop Manual its on page 6M-30, sorry I do not have a computer of that page.

Thanks Alan, from looking at the replacement parts that's the way it should work but it seems to stuck. I'm thinking the parts are worn and are not separating as they should. May have to get my hammer out...just kidding. I'll get it apart.
