1955 corvette 086 coil
Does anyone know where I can find either a replacement 086 coil or where or how I can rebuild my existing coil? Burned out.

in the late 80's or early 90's, i was junkyarding and found an 086. i recently had it cad. plated and put it on our recently restored 55(which will make its judging debut in kissimmee next month). i'm sorry to report that i can't remember the donor car but it almost assuredly came off a mid-50's GM car. mike -

received a reproduction one from grossmueller's about six months ago. stamped like the original, but the finish looked like stainless rather than cadium. also see if gary pronesti has received any. he was suppose to get a few. i have ordered 091 coils from gary in the past and they were well made.Comment

I bought a Repo a few years ago from (I think) was Goat Hill? it was in Hemming's. It looked good. BobComment
