visions of sugar plums and a '67 300hp engine

    Happy Holidays to ALL!
My '67 120328 missing its original engine.
I'am not dreaming of someone having it, just seeing if one close is available. Thank you all and to all a goodnight.

    Mark,

    A Merry Christmas to you.

    Don't give up. You'll find one. A 67 300hp (with a 3.08) is just sweet.

Here's a similar stamp pad you should be looking for:

My engine in my 67, never been out of the car.

I saw one here locally in Sonora, CA with a HE pad dated April, May 67, but the VIN was ground off, and the mechanic who had it had changed the cam, heads and intake maniflold to hotrod it. I remember he wanted a hefty price for it.

He is still around and I think he still has the engine. Let me know if you want me to look into this.

      Merry Christmas Mark and Jerry,

I think the 300hp is a very nice engine for the street.

My 67 is 300hp with wide box and 3.36 gears and I love it for the street. The engine has lots of torque and very easy to maintain, the only modifications are breakerless ignition and over the counter GM side exhaust which is really not loud with 300hp..

        Tim,
You brought back some fond memories of a 300/327 with the same trans and rear.
Everyone thought the engine was built because of the way it ran and the gas milage with the Q-jet was absolutly unbelievable.
Sadly it was stolen and had 118,000 miles on it (untouched) and felt like it ran harder than when it was new. It also had 117 oil changes too.
