Correct me if I am wrong but I remember seeing a original Grand Sport at the Cypress Gardens NCRS event in Florida in the mid to late 1980's. Maybe it was the 30th anniversary of the Corvette. Anyone remember this or not?

In 2003 all 5 Grand Sports were together for the first time at the Amelia Island Concours. It rained so hard they were displayed in the Ritz Carlton ballroom. Later they were driven out to the hotel's main entrance...what a sight and sound!!

Hi Joe,
At Carlisle in 1993 Zora Duntov DROVE GS001 from the tent where it was being displayed to the area where a video tape of it was being made.
VERY NEAT!!

At that same meet a 1957 big brake F.I. car once owned and campaigned by Bob Bondurant was also on display. The long time owner and great guy, Mickey Swezey displayed it also for all to enjoy. Both cars sounded incredible as they drove to and from their trailers.

At the end of the same day that Joe's picture was made, Bob Paterson calmly drove away. The man was fearless:
