Corvette interior

This is going to be a loaded question so here goes. We are restoring a 1967 frame off convt 427. The interior especially the door panels really need to be replaced. I know there is nothing like original interior items as far as fit goes. But there is no original door panels, carpet, etc out there. My question in your own personal opinion which company makes the best. I know Al Knoch is the most popular but there are others out there that provide the same services. Now don't get me wrong Knoch does a great job on there seats and carpets but the fit on some of there top have a lot to be desired. At any rate it is what it is, can I get some feedback from anyone who has done or seen interiors on other cars who would comment on.

Usually the ill fitting interior pieces or tops are the product of a poor installer and not the product.

I still believe Knoch is the best and they are always available if you need to talk with them.
Call them and discuss what you need and and I think you will be pleased.
Most of the resellers use him although I have seen interiors from Corvette America and Romeo Engineering that look good.

I tried to get Romeo Engineering to deliver the C1 interior I ordered and after several months of missed deadlines I cancelled the order and bought from AK. Had it in a week.

i've never had a problem with al knoch door panel fitment. ya gotta struggle with any mfgr's convert top installation. mike

Did a complete 61 interior, dash, top from AK. Came out probably better than original. It helps if you had prior upholstry sperience; none are easy some are just more difficult.

Actually, the vast majority of resellers sell Corvette America products.
As for 65 -67 door panels, C/A fit way better than AK. AK 65 seat covers have an incorrect rear seam.

you are correct about the 65 seats with the wrong seam.
I orded some from him in the summer and they were with wrong seam
called A/K and told him about the seam and he corrected it and make
me new seat covers with correct seam and said the new ones would
from now on would have the correct seam for the 65 seat covers

I have installed about everyones seat covers and door panels. Knoch is head and shoulders above all of them in fit and especially quality.

I have as well and respectfully disagree. Most of their products are "okay" but there has been zero customer service for several years. Not like the old days. I've found C/A products are higher quality, fit better and customer service is second to none.
