1984 Greenwood Motor Sports Corvette

I have a friend who has what he believes is an original 1984 Red convertible Greenwood corvette. As I understand it, Greenwood Motor Sports, a racing organization in the 80's offered an upgrade to corvettes in the early 80's similar to the Callaway package. I have two questions. Does anyone know how rare these cars if at all and also how would the modifications be handled on the judging field? I am not sure if the Greenwood package was available through the dealers like the Callaway was.
Any info on these?

I have a copy of the registration and that's what it says, I haven't seen the car myself but will check it out when I can. I was not familiar with the Greenwood modifications so I had to look them up.
