    Re: How many C2'S

Sounds like 40% must be some kind of standard number for all vehicles, perhaps from some insurance company actuary.

I still think that there are more than 47,186 C2's out there.

I would say any Corvette that you can still see, touch and feel has survived.

I disagree. We have all seen where a birdcage or the trim and vin tags were removed from a wreck and grafted to a new cage, with new frame, new body, new drive train. Are you willing to say the this recreation "survived"?

It's not my style to argue. My point is if I'm looking at a 63 to 67 Corvette, to me, it survived. You can argue it a million ways. The point is, there is no way to answer the original posters question accurately.

I will give you my prospective. I have buught & sold a few hundred Corvettes over the past 35 years. Most were 4,000 to 5000 C-1,C-2 & C-3. Most were run hard & put away wet.Very few high proformance, high optioned cars, Most did not have the original drivetrain, Almost all had mods/ fender flairs ETC. There were VERY FEW unmolested Corvettes in the day which is unlike now when they are all original. NOT

Yep, I'd say he meant dollars.

It does seem though that ALL of the fuel injection midyears have survived.
