Here's a new one- an AC R43 with 4 thin ribs but only 1 green, he other 3 white. I have never seen this before and wonder if anyone out there can enlighten me.

Re: Green ring sparkplug
I looked for a long time to find an original set of R43's which have the ACNITER script on them. Found them many years ago and stepped up to buy them. I think the Camaro Z-28 owners also want them and we all know how Camaro owners chase their parts. i wanted them for the shelf as that was the original plug in 1970 LT-1's.
They are in a 1969 box and have 4 equal green rings. I'm sure this is a correct set. I have never seen an AC plug with the one green ring either. Hopefully others can add something here.- Top

Re: Green ring sparkplug
Take a close look at the gaskets on the R43 plugs Jeff has pictured. The gaskets are not the spin on type. They are the ones pressed on the plugs by AC that were used by GM engine assemblers. So, the mystery of the lonely green ring spark plugs may continue, but we know that they were from either '69 production for Camaro Z-28s, or for Corvette LT1s for 1970. Maybe narrowing down the date range will help.- Top
