1962 Window felts Inside and outside?

Ok, this is going to sound like a weird question.

I am installing my window felts to the stainless steel garnish moldings to get everything ready to install when my re-chromed door posts arrive (I do not have them in hand now to help em figure this out). Looking at the AIM it shows that there is a LH inner and outer, and a RH inner and outer felt (seal assembly).

Since the the LH Inner would also have the same felt orientation as the RH outer, how can I tell what felt goes where?

wait till you get the door posts back from the plater before stapleing the felts to the stainless trim. you'll probably have to shorten the felts, at least i had to the last time i used corv centrals repos. even the NORS felts i bought back in the 70's over the chevy counter had to be shortened. mike

Thanks for the advice Mike, I will do that.

So as a general question, per my initial question, how can I tell which felt goes where as my starting point for each of the 4 felts? (LH inner versus RH outer and RH inner versus LH outer ?)

Once you try the felts on the stainless trim you should be able to determine which one goes where.
As Mike said wait for your door posts and then test fit everything.
Also, be sure to clamp the felt to the stainless and drill the holes in the felts using the stainless holes as the templates.
A real pain but do-able.
