Chapter 50 - The Mission at San Juan Capistrano
We traveled just eight miles south of Laguna on Hwy 101 arriving at the community of Dana Point, where we took Cove Road and followed it west a short distance to the ocean where it winds around the incredible bluffs that Richard Henry Dana had written so passionately about in his 1840 memoir,Two Years Before the Mast. Then we headed the Vette down the steep incline to Dana Cove Park and the newly erected 300 foot fishing pier with its eight sided bait shop at the end.
