67 Power Brake Booster

Two questions:

The JG reads like only some PB boosters were actually date stamped on the tab. Is this correct? If so, there should be no deduct for a missing stamp, correct?

2. If there is a stamp, how is it coded? Month, day, year? Total day of year, year? For example, what would a code of 5867 read? I assume, 1967 for the last two, but is that May 8 or the 58 day of the year?

Kirk,
I believe the 5867 is the last four digits of the 1967 Booster part number 5455867 and will be located on the firewall side of the tab. The date code will be a julian date, located on the front side of the tab, and will only be a day of the year such as 316 for Nov 12,1966. This is only one example I have seen on an original car.

I believe the 63 PN is 5462025 and the tab is 2574.
