Recently we've discussed the wear pattern of the tach drive cross gear against the casting. Here's an NOS example of the inside machining of the thrust surface of the distrib. Note it is very lightly surfaced. This is an early production item example for the 1111263 distrib, before they began to drill the housing and install the nylon button, to eliminate subsequent wear. This design change happened sometime in calendar 1970.
This item would only be of interest to bidders of race exotica, as almost nothing is interchangeable with factory Corvette distributors.
