Mid year seat frames

It seems like the 63 and 64 seat frames are identical once the foam and covers are removed. Is that correct? I know that the seat tracks are different, with 64,65, and 66 being the same, but at least the two early years appear the same.

The adjustment lever configuration on the seat bottom differs from 63/4. I can't speak for the compatability of 63 seat tracks to a 64 seat bottom or vise versa. I'm betting it isn't a straight forward swap though. I think you are safe in assuming the seat backs are interchangable between 63 and 64. The tapered top of the 63 is more a function of the foam shape.

Thanks. I'm cleaning up a pair in order to sell them and I wanted to present them as either 63/64 or just 64. You have answered my question and they are just 64's and not both years.

For what its worth, one big difference is the 63 tracks have the four adjustable seat brackets, which are often missing and nearly impossible to find.
