1972 dimension "front bumper to center of front wheel hub"

My car is stored 35 miles away. Does anyone know, off hand, the dimension from the very tip of the front bumper to the center of the front wheel hub on a 1968 to 1972 Corvette.

I am installing wheel stops in my garage and your help would save me a trip.

    Jerome -

If you have any books at home with vehicle specs, the one you're looking for is "front overhang"; that's the distance from the centerline of the front wheel to the forward-most point of the car.

Jerome, I have a '72 coupe and the measured distance from center of the Derby cap to the point where the front grille meets the front fender is 29-1/2 inches.
      Hope this helps

Thanks Roy. I am not sure that is the dimension I am looking for, but maybe. the measurement I am looking for is from the center of the hub cap (wheel hub) (derby cap) to the most forward tip of the front bumper. Is the derby cap the center hub cap?

I have looked in the books I have at home and can not find anything on the "overhang" dimension John memtioned. I looked in AIM and the appropriate Chevrolet sevice manual.

Sorry Jerome, what I just measured was the very tip of the front chrome bumper (where it comes to a point) and laid a straight edge perpendicular to that point and measured from the center of the hub cap.Where those two lines intersected was 39-1/2 inches (approx.)
Let me know if you need more info.
