    Joe L. part no. help

Joe, There is a set of shocks for sale with a part no. 5565307 . they look like they may fit a corvette, With the exception of the lower shock gromment. is not as the corvette.they maybe a pass. car.
If the over all length is the same I should I be able to use?The rubbers should be able to remove. and replace with the correct ones.? these are older Delco replacments. from the mid 60.s.

Is the part number an on-shock part number or is it the number on a box the shocks are packaged in? I usually cannot identify shocks, especially replacement shocks, from the on-shock part numbers.

I'd think twice before using shocks whose application is unknown. Aside from the jounce/rebound valving specifics, the fully extended and compressed length is VERY unique to each application, with hard stops at both extremes; if they're wrong, you can damage the suspension components.
