I am looking for a street address of Wood Chevrolet in Birmingham AL. I believe from information I received it is no longer in business but the former owner has a new business at the old dealer ship location. Any information regarding this dealer ship is appreciated.

Richard, I did a simple google search of the words "Wood Chevrolet Birmingham, Al." and got a few hits. I didn't know if you had already done that.
My first hit was a "Bobby Wood" from Birmingham that was running a very quick 1967 Chevelle drag car in the late 1960s.
Another hit showed that the previous name/owner of Wood Chevrolet appeared to be ..."Al Dement Chevrolet" in the mid 1950s.

Hi Richard ! You might check with the Jefferson county chamber of commerce. I found some old business records, but no address appeared in the documents I found. I will keep poking around and see if I can come up with anything.

Richard, take Tom's advice about the Chamber of Commerce. Tom suggested that to me and I and found a nice old lady who knew of the owner and family history of my long closed dealership. Unfortunately, it did'nt go much further than that but it was enough to point me to Intelius and then the white pages, as my search continues.

Funnily enough I recognize this view, but cannot for the life of me pinpoint exactly where it is... too bad the street signs on the left of the picture are cut off...

There were also 3 other Chevrolet Dealers in Birmingham in 1959.
