Getting new member to join.......Can I pay his dues?

.....tried calling the office today but it's closed.

I have a friend in Europe that wants to join NCRS, can I set him up online and pay using MY credit card? He asked me to do it for him as his data entry skills for English online forms is marginal.

Yes that works, we do it all the time for our members since credit cards aren't used in Europe as much as in the States and are not that widely available for people over here...

Ant thoughts or plans for the NCRS to begin accepting PayPal for membership dues?
I saw where that is available for the document services.

Thanks Rob, I signed him up tonight. One flaw was that I had to use "xx" for the State. It's a required field. The Checkout page is not "Offshore" friendly.

Don, Yes Paypal would have been better for me in this case....... the other flaw was my CC receipt and order confirmation was sent to him(new member). I hope he got it. There's only a provision for 1 email address and it had to be his in the checkout form.

Don, PayPal payment is planned for the new on-line store front that John's working on. There's only Rob and John doing the NCRS programming, so it takes time to develop and implement these things. Gary....

Several of the chapters are setting up to accept PayPal and/or credit cards for new members or membership renewals. Arizona's just went operational yesterday. Event registration is also operational at Arizona since October.

As the Treasurer I have found it works quite well. We can thank Rob, John, Gary C. and Matt from the New England Chapter.

Rocky Mtn Chapter beat you by about 3-weeks in making membership renewal via PayPal a reality. Thank Gary Chesnut for finding the 'wizard' utility at PayPal for us to embed/use!

While on PayPal, I would be remiss if I didn't also give Kudo's to our web site manager, Mike Grammond, who enabled our system into the web site, and to judging Chair, Gary Bennett, who set up our Oct judging event registration thru PayPal.

If I knew anything about 'putrers, I'd be a big volunteer to help. My daughter has to be the one to update my spacebook page. I have no clue

So keep up the good work and advances, you're way better off without my "helping".
