C3 trailer hitch

Is there such a thing for the C3 (1973Corvette) to pull a small trailer about the size of a hard plastic roof top carrier (home made). I cannot find anything. Thanks

Don't know where you're looking, but they're out there. Fire up Google and search on "Trailer Hitch 1973 Corvette". You'll get hits...

73 has rear bumpers and the hitch I bought for my 70 will fit your 73. It attaches to the last frame cross piece behind the taillights and to inner bumper bolts. I don't keep it on my 70, it is easy to install and remove. I purchased it in 1971 in Dallas.

The hitch that I suggest you try and find is applicable to 63 thru 73 and is easily installed and removed when not in use. I have attached an installation instruction sheet of the one that I am referring to. I have seen these on ebay from time to time.

I have used a hitch like that on my 63 for thirty years and have not had a bit of problem with it. It is well designed and can pull an amazing amount of trailer and weight. It also comes off quite easily and goes back on as easy. I am getting ready to set it up to use it on my 71 as well by getting another set of the left and right bracket that attaches to the differential under the spring. I can make the brackets but if I knew the company that built it I would order from them. Thanks for the instructions. I appreciate you for sharing them.
