    ammeter operation (fluttering)

After installing a new battery and a couple of weeks of tuning a Re-ferbished Power Top system I suddenly developed a Amp meter fluxuation (May have been created by use of excessive 40 Amp charging ?). Not claiming to be a Electrican has anyone dealt with this issue (step by step) , and what the correct way to polarize a C1 Voltage reg ????? Thanks in advance Jim S.

    Jim -

Use a U-shaped piece of insulated wire, stripped at the ends, and touch it briefly to both the "Bat" and "Gen" terminals on the voltage regulator, with the engine not running; you'll get a spark. Done.
