I also have the hand written order for this car when it was ordered on 1/17/62 one thing written was Straight thru mufflers ( N/C is written in the price column ) was there any such option. The car was bought for $ 4,700.00

Yes. 441 was "Direct Flow Exhaust System" and cost 0.00

1962 was the first year of that option. Before that ('58-'61) straight-through exhaust was tied to the high-lift cam.

The car also had HD Brakes & Suspension. My neighbor that bought the car new sold it locally in 1963

Holy moly, nice car. I'm gonna start looking for it.

The paperwork Ralph has, also has the VIN. Tank stickers (other than #7) didn't have that, to my knowledge.
