James, Yes that is the car.We have the car but are lacking the complete ownership history. Since the NCRS delivery data has become available it has allowed me to concentrate the search in the Philadelphia/Trenton area. The car was originally sold by George W Coupe Chevrolet,a very small dealer in Glenside PA. Then the car was probably dealer transferred. Reedman, Bryner, and Penske were a few performance dealers in in the area in 1969. I can use help in finding any of the performance sales people from those dealerships or anyone who might be familiar with the history of those companies.- Top

William, congrats on the car. I tried buying the car at auction, it was Kruse event in Indiana. I got outbid by Terry Michealis. I believe that owner bought the car at the BJ auction in Scottsdale in 04/05 and sold it a couple of years later. I hope that you find the original owner.- Top

I don't know if it is the same car....but the story goes Art bought a 68 or 69 (can't remember) L-88 convertable silver with flares on Christmas or Newyears eve out of Bound Brook NJ. Now this is where it gets fuzzie I can't remember if it came from Bound Brook ( a girl owned it) or he sold it to someone in Bound Brook. And to confuse things further some how Buffalo NY comes into the picture. Art used to own a large Corvette shop in Newton NJ in the 70's and 80's and he bought and sold many cars.
