62 brake line hose

Is there any kind of a valve in the rubber brake line. I am rebuilding the original wheel cylinders and thought about using the hoses. One appears very clear when I flushed with alcohol.

No valve I'm aware of. When rebuilding the brakes on my 62, I thought about reusing the lines but decided against it. If one blows, there is no backup with the single resevoir. I would only do it if is was a trailered queen.

The only valve in a brake hose is the check valve that forms when the inside of the line deteriorates and swells due to age. Don't even THINK about using brake hoses more than ten years old - replace them - they're cheap.

Good idea to replace all the lines. One pin hole = no brakes........

I used CC for most all the parts I needed to replace on my 62.
