60 interior trunk color?

I am restoring a 60 built in june of 1960, a late car. The car is maroon with black interior.
I know the origional trunk color is the same as the exterior(maroon) but was unbuffed.
The interior is black, so that means is should have a black trunk mat, I am not sure what color the trunk division panel should be? I think it should be black and I can order from Al knoch the panel in black?
When I recieve the panel should I paint it the interior black, or leave it the black as Al supplied or should it be painted maroon?
I think it should be black but my old one was sprayed maroon, maybe by someone after it left the factory???

Floor mat should be black and liner should be black. If they come from Al Knoch they will be the correct color to match a black interior.

I tend to agree but I was unsure why my liner was painted body color?

May have been owner preference during the repaint - I've seen one or two in my limited OJ experience.
