    C4 judging - Callaway?

Given that C4s now are part of the judging process, does that include the Callaway B2K cars that were produced from 87 to 91?

That is a good question. I have always wondered the same thing. I would certainly think they should be.

I am the owner of the CALLAWAY in the article it is the first and only CALLAWAY to be awarded the McLELLAN mark of excellence . The 87-91
CALLAWAYS can be judged however the judging manuels have many omissions on the CALLAWAYS.
That being said there are 2 types of B2K TWIN TURBO CALLAWAYS. In order to acheive a top flight the car must have the RPO B2K. There are also direct dealer conversions , everthing is the same on both versions but only the RPO B2K is correct for NCRS judging. Also many CALLAWAYS came with the aerobody kit , this was not a GM option. Direct conversions and cars with the aerobodies can be judged but will only at best receive a second flight award.

            Hey Mark !

Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't there several B2K cars that never got converted ??? Seems to me I had one once at the dealership. How would that issue enter into judging ??

              Re: C4 judging - Callaway?

Tom if the car was a RPO B2K it is the factory TWIN TURBO and is correct for judging. The direct conversion TWIN TURBOS are treated like a dealer installed option. I also have a 1987 direct conversion CALLAWAY. The owner went in to the local chevy dealer bought the red coupe off the show room and the dealer then sent the car to CALLAWAY for the turbo package. The 1987 is the 12th CALLAWAY built. It is not a RPO B2K.
The areobody kits were handled the same way , the dealer or the owner could send the car to CALLAWAY to be modified.
              Hope this answers your question

It seems to me I had a B2K car that was never converted. Could be wrong, but i think we had one. Does Callaway confirm turbo conversions on every B2K car that was built ?
