      Jim, I have had the same problem with my 91. I needed to replace the main radio control unit. Can't think of the proper name for it, but it is a box that mounts directly below your control unit for the cruise control. It is under the dash on the passenger side. It is a bugger to take out and replace! I had Ken Andersen at K & B Special Products rebuild mine. Works great now! Call Ken to discuss...770-777-1031.

      I do not think it is the radio or the speaker amps...my guess is the radio control unit. Good Luck.

          Thanks! I ordered the part and plan to put it in Saturday, if it is not a backbreaker to reach under the dash.. The install diagram looks simple. I hope it works. Thanks again.

              That did it. Thanks for saving me some big $$. It was a little challenging to install for an old timer like me, but well worth the trouble..Thanks again:
