Are there any recommended glues or sealers to help seal and hold the vacuum line connections?

Re: Vacuum line connection seal
If you're talking about rubber vacuum hoses connected to nipples, they should hold without any type of glue or sealer. If not, the hose is deteriorated or the wrong size.
Swabbing the inside of the hose with a Q-tip wetted with silicone spray lube should keep the hose from seizing to the nipple.

Re: Vacuum line connection seal
Don, if your talking about the fittings that thread into the carb. or intake manifold, I use a little teflon tape, or pipe thread sealant.New England chapter member, 63 Convert. 327/340- Chapter/Regional/national Top Flight, 72 coupe- chapter and regional Top Flight.- Top

Re: Vacuum line connection seal
Threaded vacuum connections usually consist of a flare fitting and B-nut. The seal is at the flare not the nut. If the connection is a pipe thread, then Teflon tape will help.
The OP needs to describe the exact nature of the connection he's talking about.

Re: Vacuum line connection seal
Hi Don,
I used the original hoses on my 71's restoration.
I followed a suggestion I first heard from member Chuck Gongloff to cut 1/4" to 3/8" off each end of the hose (if there's enough length) which allows a seal in a fresh area of the hose.
Terry's use of rubber cement sounds good too.
