    69 clock reset knob

    Hello,

The clock in my 69 was missing the reset knob. I bought a new one from GM, but there were two chrome knobs in the package. One is slightly longer and cone shaped. The other is shorter and cylindrical. Can anyone tell me which is correct for a 69?

    Thanks

The one that appears like this one is the original knob. If neither appear like this one (which is likely), then neither are configured like the original knob.

      Thanks Joe,

Very likely indeed! Oh, well. Do you know of any vendor selling the correct one?

I don't know of a source for a correct knob. The knob which GM sold in SERVICE since 1969 was GM #3794017. From the examples I've seen of this knob, it's not the same one used in PRODUCTION or, at some point, the specifications for that part number were completely changed.

GM #14053344, the part which replaced the GM #3794017 and the one you probably got from GM, is a kit which contains, I believe, a GM #3794017 knob, a GM #3794018 screw, and a knob of some other unknown part number.
