Re: 62 wiper blade question
The correct wiper blade is a Trico RB-12-2. The wiper blade you are looking for is a bayonet mount with patent numbers on either side and a rivet on top with a long release tang. Also, make sure the blade does not have CAN63 stamped on the side because it was made after 1962.. The rubber has dots and patent numbers with rubber skid post at either end. The blade will have stamping with Trico at each end and there should not be any patent numbers visible near the Trico stamp. There are probably 5-6 different types RB-12-2 wiper blades with all the running changes made by Trico between 1956 and 62.- Top

Re: 62 wiper blade question
Those look like PR-12-2 or PR-13-2 the bayonet mount is similar to the RB-12-2, but there is an additional spring on the under side of the mount because of the configuration of of the wiper blade. PR wiper blades where not OE on 56-62 Corvettes. From the photo the arms look correct for Corvette but it would depend on the length of the arm and the marking on the underside.- Top

Re: 62 wiper blade question
They look like this:
Understand there are a few permutations as previously mentioned. The early version of the blade holder has an arm release tab that's very 'short'. It's sometimes called a fingernail breaker as it BEARLY extends beyond the outer end of the bayonet socket.
The later version (what you'd want for a '61-62 application) has a longer release tab (like those shown). It extends a good, say, 1/4-inch from the outer end of the bayonet socket.
Last, there's a 'simiilar' Trico blade, RB-12 instead of RB-12-2, that was intended for 'universal' use. It's identical to the RB-12 EXCEPT it will accept either a Shepherd's hook or bayonet tipped arm. While not technically 'factory correct' for Corvette, a good NOS RB-12 can serve as a 'donor' for certain blade holder bridge components as well as correct refill rubber...Attached Files- Top

Re: 62 wiper blade question
The blade in the photo looks like a RB-13-2 not a RB-12-2. The RB-12-2 has four metal pieces making up the wiper blade, The RB-12-2 has one section at one end the center section with the mount then a second section and finaly the other end section. The one in the photo has 3 pieces a center section and two end peices. The mount is also too wide where it attaches to the main center section. This is what I see....- Top
