    P02 Hubcap Paint

    What would be the correct black paint to use when restoring a set of P02 hubcaps?

      Wayne,
      I have a NOS PO1 and a set of PO2s and they have a gloss finish. I'm sure others will chime in with what worked best for them. Jeff

          Looks like a Semi-Gloss Black to me.

              I restored my PO-2's with gloss black and a small brush. I would do a test area to see if it's a good match with your paint first.

                          Wouldn't it nice if someone made a paint mask for these. I have thought about taping and spraying mine but that's about as far as I have got. I have a stack of these and it looks like semi-gloss black to me.

                              I have three sets and one of the flat cap Impala wheels; all of them appear semi-gloss to me, but all of them are forty years old. I used semi-glass on the set I restored.

                                  Let me know if you want 1 more set! There are a few dings in the edges of a couple, and I wasn't sure how to remove them myself. So I'll just stick with the ralley caps and rings.

                                          Are we talking sabout the dogdish caps? I used a Sharpie marker and they look good. I do need another set though since I just picked up another survivor 62. Can anyone part with a set at a reasonable price? Email me please. redbird1973@hotmail.com

                                              No John. We are talking about the C3 PO2 hubcaps.
