    Jack Panzica's Trip

    I don't know if anyone else had a problem with Jack's thread about/along his trip, but my system would not allow me to follow it about half way through. I got E-Mail updates, but I could not see the photos or respond with a post. Guess I'll have to wait for the book or a story from him in The Restorer.

    Also Jack, because of my problem, I could not communicate with you regarding your schedule. I had wanted to join you at Old Town here in central Florida. Unfortunately, that week end found me up in the white mountains of New Hampshire. Had I known your schedule better, I could have probably worked around it. The weekend before we had our October Vettefest at Old Town, and another week would not have made the color any worse, in fact as it turned out, probably better. Sorry I missed you.

    What I did see of your photos helped me put a face to a number of fellows we blog with here. Thanks.

    Stu, I also had some problems following the thread on occasion. I think the thread depth and length had something to do with it. The most recent posts seemed to be buried way back from the end.

    I was able to reply to his NH & VT photo post, but it appeared buried deep in the replies.

        This happens when the default thread view is threaded and a reply is made to that thread and not the end of the entire string.

        Due to the confusion, early this year I switched to linear or flat view.

            Follow it on the CF. It's 40 pages long with 800 posts.

              Ronald;

              How to I switch from Linear to Flat, as you mentioned, in order to avoid this viewing problem??

                Stu, yes, on the right of the thread are a couple of boxes - links - one is display mode, choose linear.

                To set this up this way for every thread topic,

                I am pretty sure what you have to do is set this up in your preferences.

                All that stuff is in the user profile button at the top left. If you need more help from there, let me know, I'll go pull out the settings.

                  Thanks Ron. Think I have it figured out now. Guess I need to study the system more. Been away from everyday use of these machines since I retired 10 years ago. Much has changed too.
