Tom, I believe the VIN listed on ebay was 11,000 something. If so I doubt that 3 or 4,000 earlier SN would have gotten a Muncie?? Again, not a big deal for a driver & you can probably buy and rebuild a T10 for $600.

      Ed,

It appears the car was originally equipped with the hard top but I see no mention of it as included. I would definitely ask if it is included.

Other than what others have identified, it appears to be a nice car fairly priced. Good luck.

Charles, what are the signs of the hard top?

See the two little grommets on the rear deck by the soft top latches. That's where the hardtop bolted on.

Ed, the small chrome buttons on the soft top deck cover mounting holes for the hardtop.

The pics. look like a nice car.

The rear end looks like it's sitting too high, but it could be an optical illusion. As already mentioned, there are a few things wrong with it and there are probably more that we can't see, but overall it looks like a nice car at a reasonable price.

View of the bottom drivers side show evidence that Bubba did some work on the brakes lines.

                    Ed,
Your mechanical and detailing abilities are exceptional. The $35K is market value based on what is out there as you have seen while looking for a mid year to add to your collection. While the other members have properly pointed out many "minor" details that are not "judge ready" that is why it is priced the way it is.
The key fact IMHO is frame, frame frame.........You can correct everything else easily and fairly reasonably. Having said that you will need to travel to Michigan or have a member examine the frame, the engine stamping, the tranny numbers and the trim tag. Wish I could jump in the car and we could drive to Michigan to crawl all over your next award winner.

Tracy, I did note the fuel line repair job, not up to my standards, I am sure this car will need work , as I can only expect that this car will not be a NCRS car. the owner has had this car on lift and assures me the frame and bird cage or solid , not a rust free frame,

So I have found someone in Mich. to inspect car and I will find out how the car really is. by the weekend.

Gary , that would be may plans with car, but this one wouldn't be done as quick as my last resto. I plan on driving and then if all turns out okay, I will frame off this car.

Guys, well the inspection went well, I got a vidieo on the car , its looks to pretty original, body (unhit) and frame and bird cage okay, its has alot of originality still left in car appears the engine has not been out of car, interior is original, repainted a few times from the looks according to inspector. so I went for it.
