Re: Nose Guard (Bra) recomendations
Mike, back in the late 70's I used one on the '77 and the '78 SA. At that time I purchased what was the best on the market with the thickest padding on the "clips" that attach them to the wheel openings. They were a good snug fit and did not flap in the wind like some. I drove alot of miles (about 5,000) in the '77 with it on, and less than 100 in the '78. Both cars had paint rubs where the clips rubbed slightly. I tried foam and cotton padding between the clips and the body and still had marks. Make certain if you getone that it has very thick padding on the mounting points.

Re: Nose Guard (Bra) recomendations
look into the 3M film nose protector. i have that on my 08 vette and it seems to do the job and you do not have to put it on and take it off all the time.this is the film that was developed to protect helicopter rotor blades from damage. http://www.automotivearticles.com/Clear_Bra_3M.shtmlLast edited by Clem Z.; October 25, 2010, 11:17 AM.- Top

Re: Nose Guard (Bra) recomendations
Clem,
Do they have the "clear bra" for C1's?
This is great news as I have found the C5 car that I have been looking for from another NCRS member and Master Judge in PA and would like a bra for that car also.
Thanks for your post!

the dealers have computer programs to "cut" the film and you would have to check with your installer to see if they can cut the film.- Top

Re: Nose Guard (Bra) recomendations
Almost invisible. From more than a few feet away, you have to look for it. It even has a slight orange peel texture, similar to the factory paint on my C5. Just be careful when you wax the car to clean any residue from the transition edge. Any dried wax will make it more apparent.- Top
