What is the difference between the U69 AM-FM Radio and U79 AM-FM stereo differences in the 1969 corvettes.

The differnece is "stereo" which is indicated by a light on the top right corner of the radio's display. Below is a thread that discusses this and I'm sure there's more in the archives. I was in contact with Jerry Rudbeck about my radio and he was VERY helpful in answering questions and clearing things up.

    The thread...

    Here's his website as well...

I'm addinig this because I thought about it after posting. The color of the lettering will be different and perhaps the most defining characteristic of the stereo radio is the additional two components located under the dash to supprt the tuner's stereo abilities. The Mono unit will have only one. And like I said, Jerry will be able to give more exact descriptions of the pieces.

    Good luck!!
