    Throttle body cleaning

    Good Morning Everyone,
Is there a procedure for cleaning the throttle body in an 82 cross fire system like, should I warm it up first, spray while throttling, clean the inside with a rag, empty the whole can, etc...?

Issac,Just leave engine shut down and open the thottle blades wide open and take a rag and some throttle body cleaner and soak the rag and wipe the throttle body bores out,

Love the pic's Edward, I hope to have my baby looking like that someday. Under and interior. My purchase was made about 4mos ago, the car was stored for awhile so theres no rust anywhere, 74000 mls all original parts, interior panels and seats have cracks, and carpeting is faded. Im concentrating on getting her running well right now, driving her and seeing what pops up, and as I replace and fix the goal is to make her shine with new life. Exterior was repainted without the decals, which i like more and engine compartment will get a steam cleaning once she's on the road. Future hopes of beefing up the engine without compromising on the original looks, if its possible.
I came across an article in the Corvette fever page, called "Caught in the crossfire" about this topic but never could find the results of the engine modification performance. Is your engine stock or have you modified?
