I have a '64, SHP, convertible that, since 2000, I've disassembled completely and reassembled very close to original with great fun and pleasure and also a few heartaches.
Recently, while on the Forum, I opened Michael Garver's post, 10/12, and thread about "Battery Gage Needle Doesn't Move" which described my problem gage. I've since been able to clean the posts and connectors on the gage and the horn relay and now the gage responds full scale and correctly. This post and its numerous responses saved me from taking the gage cluster out to replace an original and functional gage.
To all involed in the post and thread I extend my very sincere THANK YOU and also for all the help I've received from the Forum and the Archives over the years, particularly , Joe Lucia for parts ID, John Hinckley for Holley help and Duke Williams for distributor and timing solutions.
Thanks to all and NCRS!
