Edward, would that be my vin #, block # or spec#, if not where do I look for it. Also does the NCRS offer the judging manual for sale, I dont have one? Im doing some research on a brake kit from VBP, whats your thoughts? Its a c3 kit for 989. includes rotors, calipers, pads and brakes lines.

Isacc, The icon for the NCRS Store is at the top they should a judging manuel for your year car. I should have said I don't know what the alt. number should be in my post. Sorry I got you confused.

VBP brake products make great kits, there are quite a few corvette venders that make kits to overhaul the corvette brake system. do your shopping, pricing does vary, try the big venders like- Ecklers, Corvette Central, some of the venders offer discount on big orders, so if your planning a few projects on your car, price them out and purchase what you need. get on there mailing list and they will send you discounts viva e/mails. and sometimes free shipping.

1982 Corvettes used up to 4 different alternators depending upon equipment. Yours was likely an 1101071 or 1101075 and dated within 2-8 weeks prior to the build date of the car. Up to 6 months is NCRS-acceptable, though.
