    Drum brake shoe springs

I'm putting new brake shoes on the 62 next week. Thought I would try to find new hold down springs since the old ones have been on there for at least 20 years. My FLAP (O'Reillys) has the spring kit for a 63. Are the 63 springs any different from a 62?

If you're referring to a brake shoe hold-down pin and spring kit, it should be the same for any drum brake-equipped Corvette. If, by chance, you are referring to any of the other springs (parking brake adjusting, etc.), those are different for C1 and C2 Corvettes.

Yea, I just need the springs that connect the shoes to the pin. I'm also gonna try to install the self adjusting kit. Thanks Joe. Steve

The front shoes on the 63 - 65 are wider. I don't know about the springs, but the pins are longer. Ran into this with Rob M. and sent him some I had from a kit.

The kits usually come with both length pins.
