    The part you are referring to is the L66-67 shifter bracket, GM #3888263. It was originally painted semi-gloss black (GM #1030104) and has deteriorated to the "flat" appearance it now exhibits.

      Thank you Joe. I see now that the bracket (3888263) is listed in the AIM, in a different section. For future reference it is listed on UPC 6, Sheet B6, Item 11.
